The Art Bus Directors

Artists and sisters Claire and Miranda grew up in the arts community of St Ives, Cornwall, UK. They have travelled and worked extensively around the globe. They are now based in South Australia and run The Art Bus together. Miranda and Claire combine their practices and collaborate with artists and the community.

Miranda Harris 

 

Miranda is a practicing artist with a visual arts degree from UniSA majoring in photography and sculpture. She is a qualified teacher with extensive experience in schools, and the community sector developing and implementing art workshops for people of all ages. She was based in France and worked with internationally touring theatre company Footsbarn. She has photographed for arts organisations, film and theatre productions and government agencies in Australia and Europe. Miranda's arts practice is both thought provoking and playful. She works intuitively and confidently in 2 and 3 dimensions.

Claire Harris 


Claire has a doctorate in Anthropology from the University of Adelaide. She combines anthropology, arts practice and documentary screen production with broad experience in the disability sector. Documentary producer credits include 'What the Future Sounded Like' (dir Matt Bate), Muriel Matters! (dir Sonia Bible) and associate producer on feature doc 'Love Lust and Lies' (dir Gillian Armstrong). Claire's arts practice includes research, found images, story telling, collage and the moving image.
