The Art Bus Directors
Claire and Miranda come from a family of artists and grew up in the arts community of St Ives, Cornwall, UK.
Miranda has a visual arts degree from UniSA majoring in photography and sculpture. She is a practicing artist and registered teacher with extensive primary and secondary art teaching experience. Miranda provides workshops for arts festivals, disability organisations, community centres and community events across Australia and has significant experience developing and implementing art workshops for people of all ages. She has photographed for arts organisations, film and theatre productions and government agencies in Australia and Europe.
Claire is curently undertaking a PhD in Anthropology at the University of Adelaide. She works in documentary filmmaking as a researcher, producer and archivist, and has a background in the visual arts. She also has broad experience in the disability sector professionally and as a parent.
Miranda and Claire combine their skills to run The Art Bus and collaborate with artists to develop visual arts programs.
Art Bus staff have up to date and appropriate Child-Related Employment Screening, Responding to Abuse and Neglect Education and Care Training, First Aid Training and Teacher Registration and Department for Education and Child Development Authority to Teach.
